The Tax Associate role works closely with other Tax Associates, Managers, Partners and clients. This role is responsible for the preparation of tax returns including, but not limited to, corporate, fiduciary, individual, partnership, multi-state and non-profit. The position includes the preparation of workpapers and lead sheets, tax research, assisting clients with tax estimates and planning, and staying up to date with latest tax law changes. Although this may be your first step into tax accounting, P&C is committed to helping you grow to the next step and to promote within.
Tax Senior Associate
As a Tax Senior Associate, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality tax services to our clients. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing tax returns, assisting in the preparation of complex returns, and supporting the Tax Managers and Tax Partners in managing client engagements. While you will not yet serve as a business advisor, this role offers a unique opportunity to develop your technical expertise, as you begin to take on greater responsibilities in reviewing returns and assisting with tax planning. You will also mentor and provide guidance to Tax Associates and Interns, helping them develop their skills and ensuring that all work meets firm standards. This position offers a great opportunity for professionals eager to advance their tax career and gain exposure to a wide range of client situations.
Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in tax preparation and compliance

Ability to prepare multi-state and complex tax returns

Proficiency in preparing a wide variety of tax returns, including individual, trust, gift tax, and non-profit filings

Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations

Ability to mentor and support junior team members, including Tax Associates and Interns
Audit and Assurance
P&C creates an interactive experience with our clients seeking to understand the environment they operate to provide needed assurance for stakeholders. P&C encourages collaborative efforts from the Partner down to the junior staff to streamline each engagement as well as ensure a fresh experience is considered in the ever changing environment we operate.

The Staff position is responsible for executing audit test plans and work programs designed by their Senior. Working within a small team to complete audit field work as well as managing multiple engagement wrap-ups. The Staff position is the bedrock to the success of the audit, P&C desires individuals who naturally possess skepticism and seek to understand why. This level of critical thinking will be cultivated as your career advances.
Accounting
P&C focuses on customized experiences for the client. Those experiences tend to expand past tax, audit, and assurance needs. The accounting services team works closely with our clients to understand and build a plan to get them where they need to go.
